Fittr Bags Rs 28 Cr From Zerodha’s Rainmatter to Scale Coach Network

Pune-based health and fitness startup Fittr has raised Rs 28 crore in a new funding round from Rainmatter, the investment arm of brokerage firm Zerodha.

Rainmatter said it believes in Fittr’s mission to promote nutrition and wellness, which aligns with its goal to help Indians “live well.” Fittr had previously raised $11.5 million in 2021 from backers like Dream Capital and Elysian Park Ventures.

Founded in 2016, Fittr operates an online fitness education and training platform with a community-focus. It offers science-backed health and fitness knowledge to users.

“The primary focus is to generate employment for over 1,000 coaches in the next few years,” Fittr said. The startup follows a freemium model, providing diet tools, calculators and personalized plans free alongside paid coaching.

The fresh capital from Rainmatter will help Fittr accelerate the scaling of its trainer network to meet rising user demand. The firm prides itself on empowering coaches to deliver customized fitness guidance.
