Amitabh Bachchan jets off early morning for Ram Mandir Ceremony

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and son Abhishek Bachchan traveled to Ayodhya today for the Pran Pratishtha consecration ceremony of the new Ram Mandir. They join other Bollywood celebrities like Kangana Ranaut and Anupam Kher who arrived previously as invited guests.

The Bachchans departed this morning to be on site for the 12:20 pm ritual overseen by Prime Minister Modi. Their attendance carries huge symbolic weight at the inauguration of the temple, which has been decades in the making.

Amitabh Bachchan is arguably India’s most renowned star and cultural icon. His presence draws further national attention to the long-awaited opening of the stunning Ram Mandir, conveying the significance of this milestone for Hinduism.

Constructed where the Babri Masjid once stood, the all-new temple covers 2.7 acres of land in the temple town and reaches 161 feet into the sky.
