The much-anticipated consecration ceremony of the new Ram Mandir in Ayodhya will take place today, January 22nd, 2023, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi presiding over the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ritual.

The lavish Ram Mandir, constructed over 2.7 acres in the temple town, stands 161 feet tall and spans 235 feet in width. Built in the distinguished Nagara architectural style, the three-storied Mandir integrates modern technology while following Vedic rituals.

Elaborate security measures are in place for the event, including surveillance drones and an anti-drone defense system. Only invitees from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust can attend.

The consecration proceedings, starting at 12:20 pm, are expected to finish by 1 pm. PM Modi will address the 7,000 guests present, including religious leaders and celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan.

Tomorrow the Mandir will open to the general public. Today’s ceremony marks a significant religious and cultural moment for India as it enters a new chapter with the establishment of the long-awaited Ram Mandir.
