BlackRock and Valkyrie Choose Authorized Participants for Potential Bitcoin ETFs

Two prominent applicants for a spot bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF), BlackRock and Valkyrie, have revealed their selected authorized participants (AP) in recent filings.

BlackRock, in collaboration with J.P. Morgan and quantitative trading firm Jane Street, named its chosen APs. Valkyrie, on the other hand, selected Jane Street and Cantor Fitzgerald.

Notably, many ETF issuers may opt for multiple authorized participants. The disclosures were part of updated S-1 filings submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on the deadline day. The SEC is anticipated to announce its decision regarding the approval of a spot bitcoin ETF between January 5 and 10.
