Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath spent Sunday night in Ayodhya, inspecting preparations for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the new Ram Mandir.
During his stay, Yogi admired a 55 ft long, 35 ft wide, 23 ft tall sand sculpture of Lord Ram created by renowned artist Sudarsan Pattnaik. He took a selfie with the sculpture, awarded it a certificate for the World’s Largest Sand Sculpture of Lord Ram, and presented the certificate to State Lalit Kala Academy director Shraddha Shukla.
“Tomorrow a golden chapter will be added to human civilization,” Yogi posted online last night. “After 500 years, Lord Ram will return to his rightful place in this grand new temple built where he was born.”
The CM viewed important sites in Ayodhya and walked the streets, overseeing arrangements for Monday’s consecration event. In the “glorious presence” of Prime Minister Modi, the Pran Pratishtha ceremony will see the idol of Ram Lalla installed in the sanctum sanctorum.
Yogi stated that all of India waits eagerly for this significant moment in the country’s religious history and looks forward to Lord Ram finally being seated in his home after centuries of waiting.
