FTI Consulting Adds Björn Storim to Strengthen Banking and Capital Markets Advisory in Germany

FRANKFURT, Germany, Oct. 26, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced the appointment of Björn Storim as a Senior Advisor in the firm’s Strategic Communications segment.

Mr. Storim, who is based in Frankfurt, will advise colleagues in Germany on complex challenges involving banking and capital markets, regulation, reputation, transformation and strategic positioning. He will also support teams working with financial institutions as they navigate increasingly interconnected commercial, regulatory and reputational considerations as well as complex and business-critical situations requiring coordination across multiple stakeholders.

Mr. Storim brings 35 years of international financial services experience, including serving as Chief Executive Officer of BNY’s European Bank from 2021 to 2025. His leadership experience and expertise across capital markets, asset management, asset servicing, risk management and regulatory affairs will provide clients with a broad perspective on complex commercial and regulatory challenges, particularly in the German market and across the EMEA region.

His appointment comes at a time when financial institutions face mounting pressure to adapt their business models to a changing competitive, economic and regulatory environment. International financial institutions must balance the demands of global business strategies with European supervisory expectations and local market requirements as well as the need to maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators and other stakeholders. At the same time, efforts to deepen European capital markets, evolving geopolitical risks and technological transformation are creating new strategic challenges and opportunities.

“Björn brings deep expertise in international banking, capital markets and financial regulation, along with extensive experience leading international financial institutions,” said Victoria Strachwitz, who leads FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications segment in Germany. “He will be a great resource for our teams as they help clients navigate complex commercial, regulatory and reputational challenges, assess risks and opportunities from multiple perspectives, and develop robust strategies for transformation and long-term positioning.”

Before joining BNY, Mr. Storim spent 16 years with Credit Suisse in London and Frankfurt, ultimately serving as Co-Speaker of the Management Board of its European bank and Co-Chairman of the Germany & Austria Management Committee. He began his career in financial services in J.P. Morgan’s Fixed Income business in London and New York. He holds a degree in Economics (Diplom-Volkswirt) from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and a TRIUM Executive MBA from the London School of Economics (LSE), New York University’s Stern School of Business (NYU Stern) and HEC Paris. Mr. Storim is a certified Financial Risk Manager and a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Storim said, “Financial services firms operate in an environment in which market developments, regulation and public perception are increasingly interconnected. Strategic decisions therefore need to be considered from several perspectives at the same time. I have known FTI Consulting for many years as a client and value its combination of deep expertise, pragmatic advice and multidisciplinary capabilities. I look forward to working with colleagues across the firm to develop robust solutions to clients’ most demanding challenges.”
