Gautam Adani Unveils Rs 2 Lakh Crore Investment Plan for Green Energy Park in Gujarat

Billionaire industrialist Gautam Adani revealed plans for a staggering investment exceeding Rs 2 lakh crore in Gujarat, primarily directed towards the creation of a monumental green energy park, envisaged to be visible even from space. Making this announcement at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, Adani emphasized that this substantial investment is poised to generate employment opportunities for 1 lakh individuals.

Adani acknowledged the fulfillment of the commitment made during the last summit, highlighting that out of the Rs 55,000 crore pledged, the Adani Group has already invested Rs 50,000 crore. The diversified conglomerate, ranging from apples to airports, is currently engaged in constructing a green energy park in Kutch, boasting a formidable 30 GW capacity, sprawled across 25 square kilometers. Notably, the ambitious project aims to leave an indelible mark visible even from space.

Addressing the economic landscape, Adani underscored India’s remarkable achievements since 2014, citing an unparalleled 185% growth in GDP and an extraordinary 165% surge in per capita income. These milestones have been achieved against the backdrop of challenging geopolitical and pandemic-related circumstances, as highlighted by Adani.
