ISRO Satellite captures Ayodhya’s new Ram Temple from space

The National Remote Sensing Centre of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has released a satellite image showing Ayodhya’s newly constructed Ram Mandir ahead of its inauguration.

The image, captured on December 16 by ISRO’s Indian Remote Sensing Satellite, gives a bird’s-eye view of the grand temple and its surroundings including Dasharath Mahal, Ayodhya Railway Station, and the Sarayu River.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and other dignitaries will be on hand for the temple’s consecration ceremony on January 22. Vedic hymns will be chanted as part of the rituals to officially open the long-awaited house of worship.

The release of the image from space underscores the national significance of this event for India’s Hindu community. Over a billion eyes will be focused on Ayodhya thanks to ISRO’s satellite imagery providing a sneak peak just ahead of the Ram Mandir’s inauguration.
