JD(U) Legislators Summoned for Crucial Meeting Amid Speculations of Political Shift in Bihar

MLAs and MPs from Janata Dal (United), or JD(U), are said to have been summoned for a significant meeting scheduled for January 28 at the residence of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Patna, as reported by News18.com.

The meeting gains prominence against the backdrop of growing speculations regarding Nitish Kumar’s potential departure from Lalu Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and a potential realignment with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

Reports indicate that the swearing-in ceremony for the Bihar Chief Minister, expected to have the backing of the BJP, seems to be finalized, with the event slated to occur on January 28. It is further suggested that senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi is likely to assume the role of Deputy Chief Minister.

Meanwhile, the Congress party is reportedly strategizing in response to these developments. Allegedly, all Congress MLAs have been called for a meeting in Purnia on January 27 as part of the party’s tactical moves.
