Kotak Mahindra Bank has appointed Anupam Kaura as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), as confirmed by the recent announcement. Kaura, previously the Global HR Chief at CRISIL, London, brings over 25 years of leadership experience in both Indian and global banking and finance organizations.
In his extensive career, Kaura has excelled in strategic HR leadership, business partnering, compensation and benefits management, Boards, and HR consulting. Known for his proficiency in driving change agendas and transformative initiatives within large organizations, Kaura’s expertise aligns with Kotak Mahindra Bank’s focus on fostering growth and innovation.
Prior to his role at CRISIL, Kaura held significant HR positions in reputable institutions such as IDFC Bank, Citi, AXA, and PWC, where he managed diverse functions. His academic background includes a commerce degree from Delhi University and a master’s in personnel management and industrial relations from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS).
This appointment follows the recent transition at Kotak Mahindra Bank, where on January 1, veteran banker Ashok Vaswani took over as the Managing Director (MD) and CEO, succeeding Dipak Gupta. Gupta served as the interim MD and CEO after the departure of founder director Uday Kotak from the leadership role, effective September 1, 2023.
