L.K. Advani Confirms Attendance at Ayodhya’s Ram Temple Consecration Ceremony
In a significant development, veteran BJP leader L.K. Advani, a key figure in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, has affirmed his decision to attend the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22. This announcement comes amidst earlier uncertainty regarding Advani’s participation, following remarks by Ram Temple Trust’s general secretary Champat Rai, suggesting that Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi had been advised not to attend due to their advanced age and health conditions.
However, the situation took a turn when senior Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leaders and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) extended invitations to both leaders for the monumental event. Alok Kumar, the working president of VHP, confirmed Advani’s presence, stating, “Advaniji ne toh hamein kaha hai ki woh aayenge (Advani has told us he will come),” during a media interaction on Tuesday.
