Muse expands to support small businesses

Earlier this month, we introduced Muse, a personal AI assistant available in the US and Canada designed to handle tasks for you. Today, we’re enhancing its capabilities with new skills and connectors aimed at aiding individuals in managing their businesses.

Small businesses have been flourishing on our apps for nearly twenty years, and they’ve often mentioned a lack of time, not ideas, as a challenge. That’s why we developed Muse for Small Business, to assist in completing tasks with the tools they already use.

Tom Mulholland, who owns Mulholland Grocery in Malvern, Iowa, shared, “I work about 65 hours a week, and there are many tasks only I can do. I need to allocate more time to tasks that actually generate revenue for my business, like cutting steaks and making sausages. While I’m proficient in my trade, it doesn’t mean I’m skilled at every role a small business owner must fulfill. Muse is taking over some of those roles.”

Integrating with existing business tools

Muse can easily connect with your Instagram professional account analytics, Facebook Pages, and Meta ad accounts, already understanding the nature of your business, your brand’s voice, and customer inquiries.

Additionally, Muse can interface with numerous tools businesses are already using, working seamlessly with your brand, storefront, accounting, and customer records.

Cameron Adams, Canva’s co-founder and CPO, remarked, “Muse signifies a significant advancement towards agents that genuinely assist us in our work, creativity, and simplifying our lives. It can help you organize and develop your ideas, but the real potential is unlocked when it’s fully integrated with your current work, context, and brand. By linking Muse with Canva, all these elements become part of your interactions. Whether you’re launching a new project or refining a presentation, your favorite Canva templates and tools are readily available to transform an initial concept into something on-brand, editable, and ready to share.”

You can browse the complete list of available connectors in your Muse app settings, and more will be added. Interested partners can apply at muse.ai/platform. Muse also supports custom connectors, allowing you to integrate services not yet supported, with guidance available.

Small business achievements with Muse

To assist in getting started with Muse, here are five of our top Muse use cases:

  • Prompt to try: “Analyze this year’s sales, campaigns, and social and make me a growth plan to meet my business goals for next year.”
  • Prompt to try: “I’m underwater. What do I need to pay attention to from my email, calendar, news, etc? Can you take any of it off my plate?”
  • Prompt to try: “How do I improve my ads and content? Can you analyze what’s working or not, and draft a campaign for next week? Make sure to look at what’s trending.”
  • Prompt to try: “How was my business’s financial performance this month? Find any expenses that look off.”
  • Muse consistently works to provide ideas and solutions, such as highlighting emails needing attention and drafting initial responses. Explore the Ideas tab for additional ways to utilize Muse.
