In a recent revelation, renowned filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani has hinted at the exciting possibility of bringing back the beloved characters Munna Bhai (Sanjay Dutt) and Circuit (Arshad Warsi) in the highly anticipated Munna Bhai 3. The iconic duo first captured hearts in the 2003 comedy Munna Bhai M.B.B.S., followed by the sequel Lage Raho Munna Bhai in 2006, blending humor with the principles of Gandhigiri.
During an interview with ANI, Hirani shared insights into the journey of Munna Bhai, stating, “My constant struggle with Munna Bhai has been that the first two films were so well-received that I currently have five half-written scripts.” While expressing his commitment to maintaining the high standards set by the previous films, he emphasized the need to surpass their excellence in the potential third installment.
Hirani revealed that Sanjay Dutt has expressed a strong desire for Munna Bhai 3, encouraging him to embark on the creative journey. Despite having a promising story in mind, the filmmaker acknowledges the challenge of ensuring the narrative remains relevant over time.
He said, “While there is a strong desire to bring Munna Bhai 3 to life, its timeline remains uncertain. With Dunki just concluded, I will now delve into the archive of old stories I possess.” As fans eagerly await the return of Munna Bhai, only time will reveal the fate of this iconic cinematic journey.
