Tragic Discovery in Karnataka – Skeletons of Secluded Family Unearthed, Mystery Shrouds Identities
In a somber turn of events, the skeletal remains of five family members were unearthed inside a residence in Karnataka’s Chitradurga district. The family, living an isolated life and grappling with severe health issues, had not been seen since July 2019. The discovery was made two months ago when locals, during a routine morning stroll, noticed signs of a break-in.
The police, upon arriving at the scene, found four skeletons in one room (two on beds and two on the floor) and another skeleton in a separate room. The house had been subjected to multiple break-ins, indicating a potential crime scene. The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team and Scene of Crime Officers (SOCOs) were called in to gather evidence, and security was heightened around the premises.
Preliminary assessments, based on statements from acquaintances and family history, suggest that the remains belong to an octogenarian couple, their elderly son and daughter, and their 57-year-old grandson. However, the conclusive identities of the deceased will be confirmed after forensic reports are obtained.
