Hyundai launches facelifted Creta at Rs 10,99,900, introducing over 70 advanced safety features
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) unveiled the facelifted Creta, priced at Rs 10,99,900, two weeks after the initiation of bookings on January 16. Positioned against rivals like Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Grand Vitara, and the upcoming Honda Elevate, the midsize SUV promises a host of enhancements.
The revamped Hyundai Creta boasts more than 70 safety features, including 36 standard offerings such as six airbags, electronic stability control, and all-wheel disc brakes. Noteworthy additions comprise dual-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a 360-degree camera, and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
Defined by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) as SUVs between 4,000 mm and 4,400 mm in length, priced below Rs 20 lakh, midsize SUVs captured 13.5 percent of the market in FY23. The segment witnessed a remarkable growth of 30 percent, with total sales reaching 523,967 units during the fiscal year, compared to 404,091 units in FY22.
Hyundai Creta emerged as the leader in the midsize SUV segment during FY 2023, recording sales of 150,372 units. Kia Seltos closely followed with 100,132 units. The introduction of the facelifted Creta reinforces Hyundai’s commitment to maintaining its stronghold in this highly competitive and rapidly growing segment.
