Akasa Air Expands Fleet with Two New Boeing 737 MAX-8 Aircraft
Budget airline Akasa Air announced on January 3 that it recently added two more Boeing 737 MAX-8 aircraft to its fleet, bringing the total to 22 within just 17 months of commencing operations.
Since its launch in August of the previous year, Akasa Air has swiftly grown its fleet to include 21 Boeing 737 MAX 8 and one Boeing 737 MAX 8-200. The airline emphasized that the latest additions will play a crucial role in its strategy to enhance its domestic presence and initiate international operations in the upcoming months.
In a statement, the airline highlighted the advantages of the 737 MAX family, noting greater range and fuel efficiency, resulting in a 20% reduction in fuel use and carbon emissions compared to its predecessors. Additionally, the 737 MAX is recognized for its quieter operation, boasting a 50% smaller noise footprint compared to replacement airplanes.
