Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL) has reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 3,181.42 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2023.
This marks a significant increase from the profit of Rs 1,747.01 crore recorded in the same period a year ago. The boost in net profit is attributed to improved refining margins, coupled with softer crude oil prices.
Analysts, anticipating a net profit of approximately Rs 3,303.80 crore, noted a slight decline, around 70 percent on a quarterly basis. Projections also expected net sales to decrease by 18 percent year-on-year and 6 percent quarter-on-quarter, amounting to Rs 10,991.50 crore, according to reports on moneycontrol.
