Chief of Naval Staff Flags Off Indigenous Drishti 10 ‘Starliner’ UAV at Adani Aerospace Park

Chief of Naval Staff Admiral R Hari Kumar, on January 10, inaugurated the maiden indigenously produced Drishti 10 ‘Starliner’ Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) for the Navy at the Adani Aerospace Park in Hyderabad.

This state-of-the-art UAV signifies a pivotal leap towards achieving strategic autonomy and technological leadership in high-endurance, combat-proven, and domestically manufactured advanced aerial systems. Designed as an advanced Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) platform, the UAV boasts an impressive endurance capacity of 36 hours, a payload capacity of 450kg, and the capability to operate in both segregated and unsegregated airspace.

Admiral R Hari Kumar remarked, “This is a momentous occasion and a transformative step in India’s quest for self-reliance in ISR technology and maritime supremacy. Adani Group’s commitment to unmanned systems is evident through systematic efforts over the years, not just limited to manufacturing but extending to sustenance through MRO. The integration of Drishti 10 into our naval operations will bolster our naval capabilities, enhancing preparedness for the ever-evolving maritime surveillance and reconnaissance.”
