Mumbai Cyber Police files FIR over Deepfake Video featuring cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar

The Mumbai Cyber Police has taken action by registering a First Information Report (FIR) regarding a deepfake video featuring cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar.
Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar raised concerns about a manipulated video circulating on social media, where his voice was altered to promote an online game. In the doctored video, Tendulkar is portrayed endorsing an online game and citing an example of his daughter, Sara, purportedly earning Rs 1.8 lakh per day through predictions in the game. Tendulkar, a victim of identity fraud via deepfake technology, promptly addressed the situation on his social media platforms, disavowing any association with the video and highlighting its manipulated nature.
