Google introduces multisearch feature for simultaneous image and text queries on mobile devices

Google unveiled a new AI-powered feature on Wednesday, bringing multisearch capabilities to users in the United States. The feature allows individuals with smartphones like Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, and the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S24 series to perform searches using both images and text simultaneously, all without the need to switch between apps. This innovative multisearch functionality, introduced at the Samsung Electronics Unpacked event, will be accessible through gestures starting January 31.
The Alphabet-owned company, headquartered in Mountain View, California, primarily generates revenue from the online search market. Google has been engaged in a competitive landscape with Microsoft, particularly in the realm of generative artificial intelligence (AI) over the past year.
According to Google, the multisearch feature can be seamlessly utilized through its lens camera icon within the Google app, available on both Android and iOS platforms.
