Government Plans National Career Service 2.0 Launch and Labor Reforms in 2024
The government is set to introduce the second iteration of the National Career Service (NCS) portal and advocate for labor reforms across states in 2024.
Bhupender Yadav, the Union Labour and Employment Minister, revealed that the upcoming version, NCS 2.0, aims to enhance job matching and search capabilities for jobseekers.
The new portal will incorporate cutting-edge technologies, including Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, to provide a recommendation engine for skilling. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to streamline the ease of doing business and extend social security measures to unorganized labor sectors, especially gig and platform workers.
