Mahindra Holidays to invest Rs 800 Crore in Tamil Nadu, plans three new resorts
Mahindra Holidays & Resorts Ltd announced on Thursday its plan to invest Rs 800 crore in Tamil Nadu for the development of three new greenfield resorts over the next five to six years. The company formalized this initiative by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Tamil Nadu government.
According to a statement from Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd (MHRIL), this substantial investment will lead to the creation of three new resorts and directly generate employment opportunities for over 1,500 individuals. The move is expected to make a positive contribution to the overall economy of the state.
“With this significant investment, MHRIL will double its footprint in Tamil Nadu, with Club Mahindra already operating resorts in Ooty and Kodaikanal,” the company stated. The expansion reflects Mahindra Holidays’ commitment to providing quality holiday experiences and fostering economic growth in the region.
