Servotech Collaborates with Lloyd Institute to Establish EV Charging R&D Lab and Centre of Excellence

Servotech Power Systems Ltd., a prominent EV charger manufacturer, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology to advance research, education, training, and innovation in EV technology and charging infrastructure. The collaboration includes the creation of an exclusive research and development lab and a centre of excellence dedicated to EV charging technology and infrastructure. Servotech also offers internship and job opportunities to students from the centre, aiming to provide practical experience and industry exposure.

In addition, Servotech plans to install a charging station equipped with a 14 kW EV Charger within Lloyd’s campus. This charging station, accessible to students, faculty, and the public, aligns with Servotech’s commitment to fostering widespread EV adoption. It signifies a practical application of EV charging infrastructure and contributes to India’s vision of becoming an EV-powered nation.

The R&D centre’s objectives encompass fostering innovation, creating awareness, sensitizing individuals, and upskilling students in line with industry requirements. Through training, seminars, workshops, and real-world application opportunities, Servotech aims to bridge the gap between education and industry innovation.
