iQOO Neo 9 Pro set for India launch on February 22, posing strong competition to upcoming OnePlus 12R
iQOO is gearing up for the India launch of its Neo 9 Pro on February 22, showcasing a dual-tone design and Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. The Neo 9 series, initially launched in China last year, is set to give tough competition to the upcoming OnePlus 12R, particularly with its appealing pricing.
In China, iQOO offers both the iQOO Neo 9 and iQOO Neo 9 Pro, but for the Indian market, it will introduce the iQOO Neo 9 Pro. The phone is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, distinguishing it from its Chinese counterpart, which features the Dimensity 9300.
The iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro are almost identical, differing primarily in the chipset and secondary camera. The key highlight is the pricing, with the iQOO Neo 9 available in various configurations ranging from CNY 2,299 to CNY 3,199 (approximately Rs 27,000 to Rs 39,000).
The anticipated specs for the iQOO Neo 9 Pro in India are based on its Chinese counterpart. It features a 6.78-inch 144Hz LTPO AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, up to 1,400 nits peak brightness, and HDR10+ support. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, paired with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. A 5,160mAh battery with 120W fast wired charging, Vivo’s OriginOS 4 based on Android 14, and a dual-camera setup with a 50-megapixel main and 8-megapixel ultrawide are among its notable features.
iQOO Neo 9 Pro’s imminent launch in India with its powerful specifications and competitive pricing is expected to intensify the competition in the smartphone market, presenting consumers with a compelling choice against its counterparts, especially the upcoming OnePlus 12R.
