Samsung Galaxy S24 Series receives overwhelming response with 2.5 Lakh Pre-bookings in five days
Samsung’s latest Galaxy S24 series, launched on January 17, has garnered an impressive 2.5 lakh pre-bookings within the initial five days, surpassing the pre-booking figures of its predecessor, the Galaxy S23 series, which achieved the same number over a three-week span in India, according to a statement from Samsung.
This year, Samsung has shifted its focus with the Galaxy S24 series, emphasizing AI-powered features over camera capabilities. The ‘Made in India’ Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 prioritize communication enhancements, featuring Live Translate, Interpreter, Chat Assist, Note Assist, and Transcript Assist capabilities. Samsung Keyboard’s AI can translate messages in real-time into 13 languages, including Hindi. Additionally, Android Auto has been improved to summarize incoming messages and suggest appropriate responses and activities.
In a significant update, the Galaxy S24 series introduces a gesture-driven Circle to Search with Google, allowing users to circle, highlight, scribble, or tap on the screen to receive high-quality search results. Generative AI-powered overviews are also introduced for certain searches, offering contextual information from across the web.
Samsung has extended the OS and security updates for the Galaxy S24 series to up to seven years, an increase from the previous five years. Raju Pullan, Senior Vice President, MX Business, Samsung India, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response, stating, “The huge success of the Galaxy S24 series demonstrates that Indian consumers are early adopters of new technology.”
Pre-orders for the devices are open until January 31, with shipping scheduled to begin on February 1. Samsung is offering pre-booking benefits, including an upgrade bonus and storage upgrades, with the option of bank cashback for certain models. The pricing for the Galaxy S24 series ranges from ₹79,999 to ₹1,59,999, catering to diverse preferences and storage needs.
