Kia India Appoints Gwanggu Lee as New CEO; Aims for Next Phase of Growth
In a strategic move, Kia India has announced the appointment of Gwanggu Lee as the new Managing Director and CEO, effective immediately. Lee takes over from Tae Jin Park, who, after contributing 36 years to Kia Corporation, concludes his journey, including a commendable four-year tenure with Kia India.
Gwanggu Lee brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having held leadership positions in various capacities across both developed and developing economies. His diverse journey includes key roles in the US, Canada, Italy, Mexico, Kia Headquarters in Central and South America, and Kia Europe Headquarters in Germany.
Notably, Lee’s recent role as President at Kia Mexico played a crucial part in driving substantial growth for the company, establishing it as a significant production and export hub. His proven leadership skills have left a lasting impact on Kia’s global operations.
