Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd announced a 6% increase in total automotive sales for December 2023, reaching 60,188 units compared to the same month the previous year.
In the passenger vehicles segment, sales for the last month surged to 35,174 units, a notable 24% growth from 28,445 units in December 2022, as per M&M’s regulatory filing.
Similarly, utility vehicles experienced a significant uptick, recording a 24% increase with sales reaching 35,171 units in December 2023, up from 28,333 units in the corresponding month of the previous year.
Addressing the challenges faced, Veejay Nakra, President of Automotive Division at M&M, mentioned, “We continued to face some supply challenges on select parts. We are working closely with our suppliers to mitigate these challenges going forward.”
