Shoaib Malik ties knot with Pakistani actor Sana Javed amid rumors of divorce from Sania Mirza

Veteran Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik has taken the wedding vows with Pakistani actor Sana Javed, creating a buzz amid speculations surrounding his alleged divorce from Indian tennis legend Sania Mirza. Malik shared the joyous news on Saturday through a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, featuring pictures from their wedding ceremony with the caption: “And we created you in pairs.”

Rumors of Malik’s relationship with Javed had been circulating for a while, gaining momentum when the ex-Pakistan captain wished the actress a happy birthday last year, sharing a picture of the two with the caption, “Happy Birthday Buddy.”

The 41-year-old cricketer had also publicly supported Javed when she faced criticism for alleged rude behavior towards juniors and makeup artists on set. Malik, in a tweet from March 2022, expressed, “I have known Sana Javed for quite some time now and have had the opportunity to work with her multiple times. From my personal experience, I can only say that she has always been kind & courteous towards me & the people around us.”

Malik’s wedding announcement came as a surprise on both sides of the border, given the ongoing rumors of his divorce from Sania Mirza. The couple had tied the knot in Hyderabad in 2010 in a traditional Muslim ceremony, followed by a Walima ceremony in Sialkot, Pakistan. Malik and Mirza are also parents to a son, Izhaan, born in 2018.
