Taylor Swift Superfan Bilal Ilyas Jhandir Secures Guinness World Record by Identifying 34 Songs in One Minute

In a remarkable feat, Bilal Ilyas Jhandir, a 20-year-old Taylor Swift enthusiast, has etched his name in the Guinness Book of World Records by accurately identifying an impressive 34 Taylor Swift songs in just sixty seconds. Affectionately known as “Swifties,” Taylor Swift’s dedicated fanbase spans millions worldwide, and Jhandir’s achievement sets a new benchmark.

Jhandir’s remarkable accomplishment surpasses the previous record held by Dan Simpson, who identified 27 songs in 2019. Guinness World Records compiled a list of Swift’s 50 best-selling songs in random order, and Jhandir successfully named each song solely based on their lyrics, read aloud by a human without any accompanying music.

Expressing his unwavering love for Taylor Swift, Jhandir stated, “I have been listening to Taylor Swift since my childhood. I am a die-hard fan of her. I can identify almost any song of hers from the lyrics.” Despite being a regular listener of Swift’s songs, Jhandir dedicated 13 weeks to extensive preparation for this achievement, involving in-depth listening sessions to permanently imprint the lyrics in his memory.

This marks Jhandir’s third Guinness World Record title. In 2021, he earned his first title for identifying the most animals by their sound in a minute (23). In the following year, he broke the record for identifying the most Justin Bieber songs from their lyrics in one minute (29), surpassing the previous record by seven.
