The T20 World Cup 2024 is set to kick off on June 1, featuring an opening clash between co-hosts USA and Canada, echoing the historic first-ever international cricket match in 1844. New York will witness the highly anticipated face-off between arch-rivals India and Pakistan on June 9. Placed in Group A, India will compete against Pakistan, USA, Canada, and Ireland in the group stage matches.

The semi-finals are scheduled for June 26 and 27, leading up to the summit clash in Barbados on June 29.
According to the International Cricket Council (ICC) website, Group B comprises the last two Men’s T20 World Cup winners, England and Australia, set to battle Namibia, Scotland, and Oman. West Indies heads Group C alongside New Zealand, Afghanistan, Uganda, and Papua New Guinea, while Group D features South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands, and Nepal.
The tournament, spanning 55 games, will unfold across six venues in the West Indies (Kensington Oval, Barbados; Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad; Providence Stadium, Guyana; Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua; Darren Sammy Cricket Ground, St Lucia; Arnos Vale Stadium, St Vincent) and three venues in the USA (Eisenhower Park, New York; Lauderhill, Florida; and Grand Prairie, Texas).
